DESCRIPTION
Built on a foundation of aged Bangka (Indonesia) oud — deeply resinous, earthy, with a slightly sparkly opening — the composition unfolds into a dark, grounding core of bourbon vetiver and aged patchouli: earthy, smoky, and mineral. A Merauke oud oil deepens this foundation, adding a humid, forest-like richness.
Pink and white lotus soften the density with a quiet, watery luminosity, while jasmine sambac, tuberose, and narcissus bring a narcotic floral heart touched with green bitterness. Chinese rosewood threads through the blend, adding a dry, polished woodiness.
Afghan musk root, ambrette seed, and styrax introduce a warm, balsamic, skin-like sensuality. A brief citrus shimmer lifts the opening, while coffee absolute settles the base into a dark, roasted warmth.
The result is a primordial, meditative scent — extremely deep, shadowed, and intimately grounding.

Earthen Agar was conceived as a meditation on depth — not the depth of complexity alone, but the depth of the earth itself. The aged Bangka oud at its foundation is a material that carries the memory of the Indonesian forest: resinous, earthy, and alive with a sparkly opening that belies its dark character.
The composition was built around this oud, layer by layer, each ingredient chosen for its ability to deepen and ground rather than lift and brighten. Bourbon vetiver and aged patchouli add their characteristic earthiness — smoky, mineral, and ancient. Merauke oud from the forests of Papua deepens the foundation further, adding a humid, forest-like richness that is unlike any other oud in the world.
The florals in the heart — pink and white lotus, jasmine sambac, tuberose, narcissus — are not there to sweeten or brighten.
