CHYPRE IRIS REGALE

This perfume is my tribute to the golden age of French perfumery, a deeply personal interpretation of the classic chypre, refined through my own experience, skill, and pursuit of the extraordinary. At its heart lies one of the rarest and most exquisite materials in perfumery: Iris 80% irones, a jewel among irises, radiating an opulent, velvety softness that transforms the composition into something truly ethereal. To enhance its depth, I’ve paired it with Iris Germanica absolute, reinforcing its plush, powdery elegance and intertwining it with an exceptional violet absolute, sourced through my personal connections to the Sultan Qaboos collection. This fusion of iris and violet creates a mesmerizing, almost otherworldly aura—an expansive cloud of deep, dark purple.

This luminous iris accord is set against a foundation of classic chypre architecture. A sparkling opening of bergamot, mandarin, and neroli—turbocharged by the crisp, resinous nuance of French cypress—gives way to the warmth of labdanum, adding a subtle, spiced richness. The structure deepens as the composition evolves, revealing the verdant, musty elegance of oakmoss, anchoring the fragrance in a sophisticated, vintage-inspired depth.

To contrast and elevate this timeless chypre form, I have introduced a chocolate accord, crafted meticulously from cocoa, and a delicate milk accord—not merely a cocoa note, but a true chocolate, smooth and indulgent, yet seamlessly woven into the composition rather than overpowering it. This gourmand touch does not sweeten the perfume; rather, it darkens and enriches the iris, shifting it into something more profound, more enveloping—an unexpected but harmonious interplay of texture and depth.

The base is built upon a refined balance of Hindi oud and musk, where a measured touch of oud provides a whisper of smoky intrigue, while musk amplifies the natural sensuality of the composition. This, in turn, is bound to the oakmoss, ensuring the perfume remains firmly rooted in the traditions of classical French perfumery while speaking a new, modern language of luxury.
