Yellow, rendered in velvet and gold.
Huang Qinan is a solar floral built around the richness and emotional warmth of yellow. This isn’t citrus brightness. It’s glowing petals, warm skin, pollen, honey and sunlight sinking into wood.
It opens with the radiant bitterness of yuzu and green galbanum, lit by the soft glow of linden blossom and osmanthus and touched by the aromatic shadow of Nigella damascena. At the heart, narcissus, magnolia, ylang-ylang and Spanish broom unfold in dense golden layers, narcotic, windswept and honeyed, softened by the cool, silken texture of iris.
As the florals deepen, rare Yellow Kinam oud emerges beneath veils of honey, creamy sandalwood, Haitian vetiver, guaiacwood, Malinau Absolut oud, Nepal musk and ambergris. The dry-down turns warm, mineral, resinous and quietly animalic, like gold leaf warmed by skin.
Huang Qinan is an ode to yellow at its most sensual: sunlit yet melancholic, radiant yet shadowed, delicate yet opulent.
