Built around cultivated Black Kinam oil, Qinan Obscura explores the darker, more elusive side of oud.
It opens with black cherry, blackberry and blackcurrant, a deep, almost wine-like fruitiness sharpened by a touch of black pepper. At the heart, lilac, lavender and violet add a cool floral note, woven through the depth of Black Kinam, Vietnamese oud and Cambodian oud from Koh Kong.
The dry-down settles into a rich, resinous base of black ambergris, labdanum and black myrrh, bringing warmth, texture and a quietly smoky finish.
Dark, complex and carefully balanced, Qinan Obscura favours depth and character over sweetness.
